Planned entertainment

I don’t know when it happened, but there’s one thing that has definitely done a complete 180. It’s the way that I enjoy the common experience of planned entertainment. It used to be that when you missed out on a tv show, you missed out. You felt that feeling through and through when all of your friends were talking about the highlights the next day and you had nothing to say and slunk away in shame.

Now it’s more like, ‘Whoops, I missed it. Oh well, but guess what? All of you had better stay far away from me and don’t tell me anything I don’t want to hear or else you will be sorry.’ #noshame

Maybe it’s better this way?
